Summer POP Club Starts May 5 – Week 1

Join us on Sunday May 5th for the opening of the Coquitlam Farmers Market and the kick off to the the summer POP Club. We are so excited to be able to offer the program the entire summer season this year!
The POP Club is a farmers market-based kids program. Children (ages 5 – 12 years old) will learn about fruits and vegetables, local food systems and healthy food preparation through fun activities all season long.
Each week children will earn a $3 market token to use towards any fruit or vegetable of their choice. There is no cost to participate and the program runs every Sunday rain or shine!
May 5th – Week 1: Register for your POP Passport, plant beans and learn how to care for your future seeding, and try beets in our 2 Bite program.

It’s the last market of our winter season! Thank you to all of you for coming out week after week, despite the weather, and supporting our fantastic vendors. Don’t forget to join us every Sunday at the Coquitlam Farmers Market starting May 5, 9am-1pm!

This Sunday is Member Appreciation Day! Market Members can take advantage of special Member-only vendor deals this Sunday only! You can sign up for a membership any Sunday at the Market Info Table or online HERE. Memberships purchased now last until April 2020! Memberships are valid at both the Port Moody Winter Market and Coquitlam Farmers Market.

Market Closed this Sunday

In recognition of the Easter holiday, the Port Moody Winter Farmers Market will be closed on Sunday, April 21. We wish you a wonderful holiday weekend, and we will see you on April 28th!

Winter POP Club – Week 22

Join the POP Club and discover the Power of Produce! This Sunday is our last POP Club of the winter season.
Week 22: April 14 – This week in the POP Club tent we will be preparing leek and potato soup!
Two Bite Club – potato and leek soup OR you can try the single ingredients.

Spring flowers are popping up all over – including around the market! We’re celebrating these beautiful flowers by making cupcake liner daffodils at the Kids Craft Table this Sunday.

We have two community groups joining us this weekend. Be sure to stop by the Canadian Blood Services table to learn how you can make a difference in your community, and stop by the Metro Vancouver table to learn about clothing waste and how to extend the life of your clothes and keep them out of the landfill!
