About: The “Writers for SHARE” have recently launched a local fundraiser book titled “”New Beginnings.” It’s an anthology of over sixty donated short stories and poetry by thirty-nine Tri-City and local BC writers. We aim to raise as much money for SHARE Family and Community Services as we can. We have locally printed and published 500 copies of this beautiful 300+ page book, now on sale for $25 each. Sales to date have covered printing costs, so new purchase revenues go mostly in support of SHARE’s foodbank, housing assistance, and counseling services.
The book makes the perfect Christmas gift. It supports a needed local charity and introduces the reader to many established and new local Tri-City writers. Writers were asked to write what they felt tied into some form of ‘New Beginnings.’ Their creations feature humour, sincerity, love, inner strength, play, and the gamut of human emotions, in mostly autobiography or fictional stories about romance, immigration, survival, family histories, space exploration, and much more. Some stories are PG 13 rated, but most are General Audience.
