Farmers Markets

Farmers Markets are community gathering places where local producers sell their goods directly to the public, and where residents can enjoy the talents of local musicians, socialize with their neighbours, and connect with and learn of the resources available within their community.

We operate three farmers markets – a weekly outdoor summer market in Coquitlam, a twice monthly indoor winter market in Port Moody, and a new weekly evening market at Spirit Square. This allows local residents to support BC producers and eat local all year round!!

Pocket Markets

Pocket markets are temporary local food markets where we sell the food our vendors grow or prepare, on their behalf. A fairly new concept in Metro Vancouver, pocket markets allow local producers, especially farmers, to focus their time and talents on growing or preparing food for local distribution and consumption while providing citizens with more locations where they can access fresh and delicious food from a known and trusted source. For our vendors, pocket markets provide an added way for them to get their food directly to your plate. This helps move our region towards greater self-sufficiency!

Simon Fraser University Pocket Market

Wednesdays, 11:00pm – 5:00pm, May 11 – October 26, 2011
Cornerstone Square
(in partnership with the SFU Local Food Project)

Metro Vancouver Pocket Market

This market is set in the midst of a bustling corporate environment, bringing fresh, local food right to the workplace staff. Not only does this make grocery shopping convenient, it also demonstrates an environmentally conscience and community focused corporate culture. (Open to workplace staff only.)
