May 8th: Opening Day!
The Coquitlam Farmers Market celebrates 15 years in the community! Join us all season longfor fresh local produce, delicious eat, kids activities, live entertainment, and many edible events! Check out our website www.makebakegrow.com to keep up to date on the many events we haveat the market!
June 5th: Bike to Market Day
Kick off Enivornment Week by getting to market by bike. Kids can decorate their bike and there will be a free bike valet on hand while you do your shopping.
June 12th: Get Local – Celebrate the Canucks!
Support local food and your local team. Start out the market day with a fun game of hockey, Canucks crafts and more!
June 19th: Father’s Day at the Market
Come to market and celebrate dads! All fathers recieve a free coffee and a special market treat! Kids make a special tie and card for dad.
June 26th: Dogwood Pavilion’s “Roses over the Rainbow”
Join us as we celebrate Dogwood Pavilion’s “Roses over the Rainbow”, an annual Rose Festival and Show.
July 3rd: Grow Your Own Food Day
Our local farmers have been hard at work growing wonderful local fruits and vegetables. Come to market and see how our local food system works and taste some wonderful bounties of our local farms!
July 8th: Spirit Square Opens
Join us in Spirit Square for the opening of this new evening market every Friday from 4pm – 8pm. There will be music,entertainment, and many family activities. Grab some goodies for the weekend, and stay for an evening of local entertainment.
July 17th: 6th Annual Salmon BBQ
Join us for a Salmon BBQ and celebrate 15 years of the Coquitlam Farmers Market in the community! There will be cake, games, entertainment, and a few other surprises.
August 14th: 7th Annual Blueberry Pancake Breakfast
Come and have breakfast at the Coquitlam Farmers Market! Enjoy one of BC’s tastiest berries,and learn about the mystical world of bees. There will be live entertainment, face painting, kidscrafts and games.
August 28th: Annual Corn Tasting
Taste some of the freshest and best locally grown corn!
September 4th: Member Appreciation Day
If you aren’t already a member, today’s the day! Join us for a free coffee, a chance to win our prize draws and many wonderful members discounts.
September 18th: Kids Day at the Market
It’s all about the kids today! A fun time for anyone who is a kid at heart. We welcome kids of all ages who would like to set up at market this day. Lots of family fun activities and a great way to start the new school year! For registration information, please contact admin@makebakegrow.com.
September 25th: Best Pie in Town Contest
Think you have the best pie in town? Annual Best Pie in Town Contest today! Bake your best pie and bring it to market to be judged!
Rules: Open to all amateur bakers; ALL components of the pie must be made by the contestant, including the crust; local fruit pies only; one entry per person. Pies should be brought to the Pie Contest tent between 9am and 10am on September 25th. Please see the Market Info tent for directions. Judging will begin at 10:30am. Pies will be judged on the following factors: appearance, taste, WOW factor, and creativity. Remaining pie will be returned to the contestant.

October 9th: Harvest Festival & Gourmet BBQ
Celebrate the abundance of produce and the changing of the season. Join us for our Harvest Festival & Gourmet BBQ. Visit our Sunday Market for some fall fun and stock up on some amazing local
fall produce! Games and activities for the whole family.
October 23rd: Lunch with Fred Soofi
Join Fred Soofi on Sunday October 23rd for a unique cooking class and 4 course gourmet lunch.
This unique experience will begin at the Coquitlam Farmers Market as you go shopping with Chef Soofi for the main ingredients for this delectable lunch. Each participant will have the opportunity to choose two items from market to be included in the meal. Once the shopping is done, Chef Soofi will take the group to the kitchen and host a cooking class to create a four course meal to be enjoyed by all.
