Get Involved
Current Vendors
Please contact us for application materials for the 2012 season. All vendors who wish to sell prepared food items, must also complete Appendix 5 of the Fraser Health Authority’s new Temporary Food Market guidelines.
Potential Vendors
All vendors at the Market must ‘make, bake, grow, or raise’ what they sell. Please note that space (especially for farm vendors) is extremely limited at our Poirier Street (Sunday) market.
Farmers
Applications from farmers are accepted throughout the season. Please contact us for application materials.
Craft and Prepared Food Vendors
We hold two juries per year to fill the limited number of spaces available for craft and prepared food vendors. Please contact us for jury information and application materials. All vendors who wish to sell prepared food items, must also complete Appendix 5 of the Fraser Health Authority’s new Temporary Food Market guidelines.
Community Groups
The Coquitlam Farmers Market offers a free table for Community Groups each week and welcomes new groups to participate. Community Groups working on the issues of Food, Health and the Environment are invited to contact the Market for more information.
Entertainers
There is nothing better on a sunny day than strolling though the market taking in the festival-like atmosphere that our buskers provide with their artistic talents. We are always looking for new people to join us – especially musicians, facepainters, balloon artists.
As the market provides great exposure to the public, we do not pay our entertainers. But you are more than welcome you to put out a hat and collect donations from our generous shoppers and vendors. To make a booking or for more information, please contact us.
Volunteers
Volunteers are the heart of our organization and represent the face of the market to the community. They are responsible for setting up and tearing down the market each week, and provide general assistance to our vendors and visitors. Volunteers also help distribute monthly newsletters, answer inquiries from the public, and help with crafts and events. On-site training is provided to all volunteers.
Interested in Volunteering at the Coquitlam Farmers Market?? The commitment is small!
Coquitlam Farmers Market Volunteers work 3 hour shifts on market day and we request a minimum commitment of 2 shifts per month. If you are wanting to make a difference in your community, we’d like to hear from you!
