I have been a professional makeup artist for 20 years. Over the years I have been unable to find a makeup that does not irritate my rosacea and sensitive skin. The foundations felt so heavy and greasy that I could not wait to get home to wash my face! I decided to try mineral makeup and found that I still had a reaction and I did not get the results as advertised. Then I started reading and researching each ingredient listed in mineral makeup brands. I found that there are so many chemicals and fillers like bismuth oxychloride which is actually finely crushed glass, that the benefits of the minerals are not doing us any good because they are over powered by the amount of chemicals and fillers. I decided to create my own brand of mineral makeup that every skin type could wear. I wanted to share with everyone the true benefits of minerals. Now my skin looks glowing and fresh and feels like I`m not wearing makeup at all! Affera means `colors of the earth` in Arabic. Affera uses only natural colors and ingredients from our earth. Just the way Mother Nature intended!
